  1. Engineers’ Council Meeting 2/16/16

STEM Outreach • Date: February 29th, 2016 • 2:30 – 4:00 pm • Number of volunteers needed: 4-5 • Visit Whitehall Rosemore Middle School STEM club and teach kids how to use a breadboard and read a circuit schematic. Circulate and assist individual students with projects, answer questions, be a role model. • Contact: Yaadata or Betty LiseAndersone(andersone.67) or Clayton Greenbaum(greenbaum.20)

  3. K12 Engineering Outreach to Whetstone HS • Date: March 5th, 2016 • Description: An outreach program teaching and exciting K12 students about engineering • Number of Volunteers Needed: 4-5 • Interested? Considering Volunteering? Contact • Betty Lise Anderson

  4. K12 Engineering Outreach to Westerville North HS • Date: April 10th, 2016 • Description: An outreach program teaching and exciting K12 students about engineering. Volunteering duties may include demoing engineering projects and possibly, if you can, teach kids how to build speakers • Number of Volunteers Needed: 6 • Interested? Considering Volunteering? Director Positions Open • We are still looking to appoint the following positions: • Director Of Special Events • Director of Volunteering • Directors can still be reps for their org • Directors will be invited to attend NAESC national conference • If interested please email Travis (remlinger.15@osu.edu) or Erin (maher.117@osu.edu)

  6. Arch E Week • April 4th-8th • Orgs will be given 15-30 Volunteer hours for planning an event, depending on how much time and planning is required. • Examples of events are: pizza nights, trivia, different sports tournaments, night time social events, daytime food events (faculty breakfast, lunch on knowlton patio, etc.) • Priority will be given to orgs that have planned events in the past • EVENTS WILL BE FULLY FUNDED BY E COUNCIL • Submissions are due a week from today (1/26) • If approved, you will be notified next week and will be required to attend a very brief meeting after the next E council meeting (2/2) • ONLY SUBMIT EVENTS THAT YOU ARE POSITIVE YOU CAN PLAN. • Ask Erin or Travis if you have any questions!
