  3. Guests arrive and sign in for the ceremony.

  4. More than 120 people turned out for the event.

  5. The DART Commissioners await their entrance on a DART bus.

  6. The station’s first bus arrives, and DART Commission members alight.

  7. Remarks were given by local, state and national dignitaries.

  8. Speakers include, from left, then-Congressman Leonard Boswell, Senator Tom Harkin, state Senator Matt McCoy and DART Commissioner Steve Brody.

  9. The big moment!

  10. Crowds stick around after the speeches for refreshments and tours of the new station.

  11. Employees each got the chance to cut the ribbon at a photo booth at an employee open house.
