Before continuing please ensure that you have a pen / paper to note down the website and instructions SEPT require all inpatient mental health nursing staff, inpatient mental health medical staff, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and community health services nursing staff to undertake training on diabetes once a year. This must be undertaken on the NHS Diabetes website. Please type the following into the address bar on your browser You will need your NHS payslip to register (make a note of the 3 digit "ESR" (Electronic Staff Record) number on the front of your payslip, plus your personal "assignment number"). http://www.diabetes.nhs.uk/safety/ You will then be offered a choice of courses, (Ask your manager which courses you should complete).

  6. When you have finished each activity, close that activity (click “Return to course view” in the top right hand corner of the activity window) to return to the course view page. You may stop, save your progress, and return to the course later. It is recommended that you save the site as a favourite / bookmark on your internet provider to make it easier to return to it when you want to continue. When you have completed your training keep your “Self-assessment Record (NHS Diabetes)” or any other evidence of the completed training for your records When you have completed the training on NHS Diabetes website you are required to return to the OLM site and complete the test question that is on this course. (This asks whether you have completed the training), this will then update your training tracker record.

  7. Now You need to take the Test. Please click the ‘Test’ icon in the left column, and then click for Questions. Remember to click the ‘Home’ icon when you finish the Test to save your results EXAMPLE COURSE
