  1. Balancing Information Density In Website Designing Before going through the various ways of balancing information density, you first need to understand what is exactly Information Density. Information Density is the exact amount of information you provide in a particular website for your readers. Higher information density implies higher amount of content a visitor is going to see once he lands on the webpage. Information density has immediate effect on the site's usability and navigability. The Cognitive load of a user depends on the information density and hence is responsible in generating either a good or a bad user experience. While designing a website, it is advisable to pre-plan earlier how much text based content can be included before getting bogged down in the middle of the designing process. Though clients always prefer lengthy content to draw viewers' attention, designers believe minimalism and moderation are the best ways to ensure a perfect user friendly website. Excessive information on your website can be problematic at times. A webpage with high density results in analysis paralysis. Analysis paralysis is a situation where users freeze due to excessive call-to-action information. It tends to confuse them and they can't decide which action needs to be taken. Mentioned here are the steps that should be taken to maintain reasonable information density on your webpage. • A web designer must know how to keep a site's density under his control. “Less is more” is the solution behind maintaining an easy going cognitive load. Learning and preparing everything about the information architecture earlier is essential in accomplishing the goal of developing a grand website with low information density. • Before getting started with the work, a designer must put himself on the user's shoes in order to understand how a user is going to receive his web page. He is required to ideate how the page is going to look on a mobile screen, tablet or a desktop. In other words, the page setup, content and navigation must be very simplistic, crystal clear and well defined, so that even an unsophisticated user find it very user-friendly. • Keep information density manageable so that there is no more ambiguity regarding your page goal. As long as there are fewer elements in your page, there will be minimal distractions from your page goal and visitors can smoothly execute their task. Controllable information density makes for superior UX. Concluding Words Information density is essential, as the amount of content you choose to put in your webpage highly influences UX, page conversions and visitors' ability to meet their end goal. Therefore, Web designers are advised to make their design clean and clear cut with enough white space. This will draw the customer’s attention on the main elements or

The button must be clear microcopy and persuasive message above the button is highly recommended. In general, web designers ought to keep the information density lower so that the visitors don’t get overwhelmed, but achieving the minimum density is very difficult. Therefore, what they need to do is – Balance! Balancing is the key to an impressive design. Author Bio: The author is a copywriter who covers design news for Wheelistic Web Design.
