  1. Using Social Media to Promote Your Company Culture

  2. Social media is a great tool for small business owners to reach their customers and market their products and services. But social media is also great at promoting the culture within your company. Company culture is what defines a business to both its current employees and future ones. Read on for more information about how to use social media to promote and maintain a vibrant company culture.

  3. Maintain the Start-up Energy Start-up businesses are well known for having upbeat, enthusiastic, hopeful employees. Never let that positive energy fizzle! Use social media to keep this attitude alive. For example, post pictures of company retreats or office birthday celebrations. Send out tweets congratulating employees for certain achievements. Current and future employees will respond positively to the positive energy you’re putting out there.

  4. Keep Communication Active Social media helps employees stay in touch and be communicative even when they’re not at the office. Positive interactions on social media frequently lead to even more positive interactions when face to face. Encourage employees to promote positive talk about their work experience. Social media is also a great way to keep employees connected at all times, which is particularly useful if not all employees work in the same building or if travel is a big part of many employees’ job description.

  5. Post Work-Related Content Many of your employees may already have their personal social media accounts. Encourage willing individuals to send updates every now and then that cast the company in a positive light. You can then retweet or reblog the post from the official company account, which offers an extra bit of authenticity to the original post.

  6. Empower People Depending on what kind of business you run, it could be a great idea to use your social media account for good that extends beyond the workplace. Encourage your employees to do the same. Many journalists, for example, use their social media accounts to broadcast certain important causes. If there is a cause that is important to you – and it somehow relates to your business – you can use your social media page to get behind an activist.
