  1. “YourCauldron Has GivenBirth” NASRETTİN HODJA

  2. One day Hoca goes shopping. At the market place he meets a friend whom he hasn’t seen for a long time. Hoca invites his friend and his family to dinner.

  3. When he arrives home, they start to cook meals for their guests. But they need one more cauldron.

  4. He rushes to his neighbour: -Oh my dear friend, can you please borrow me a cauldron? He asks. His neighbour brings his cauldron but he adds: - Dear Hoca, please keep my cauldron well! It is very precious for me, I have just brightened it.

  5. The neighbour calls Hoca: Dear Hoca I am away for a week. When I come back I will come and take my cauldron back!

  6. Hoca goes to his house. His wife cooks meals and Hoca sets the table. They welcome their guests perfectly. The guests are very happy.

  7. After a week somebody knocks at the door. It is the owner of the cauldron. _Dear Hoca I want my cauldron back, He says

  8. Hoca puts a small cauldron into the big cauldron and gives it to his neighbour. The man asks pointing at the small cauldron: -What is this, my dear friend?

  9. Hoca: Your cauldron has given birth when you are away. The neighbour is very happy to hear that. -Oh oh, that’s very good. He replies, takes the cauldron and goes his home.

  10. After a while Hoca needs the cauldron again. He goes to his neighbour and borrows his cauldron again. The neighbour thinks: I’ll give a cauldron and return two cauldrons. He gives the cauldron happily.

  11. Days pass, the neighbour waits Hoca to return his cauldron back. But Hoca doesn’t. At the end the neighbours is impatient, he goes to and knocks at Hoca’s door.

  12. -My dear friend, can I get back my cauldron, I need it. He says as soon as Hoca answers the door. Hoca answers in a deep sorrow: -Oh my dearest friend, your cauldron has died.

  13. The man is furious. He starts to shout: -Oh, come on Hoca! Doe a cauldron ever die? It is not even a living. Hoca answers with a great dignity:

  14. -My dear neighbour, don’t you remember, last time your cauldron gave birth, so it would die one day!

  15. The man is still nervous: -What do you mean? Cauldrons don’t die! Hoca smiles: -You believe in cauldron has given birth, so why don’t you believe it has died!
