  4. 1 ‘Friend in trouble’ • Organizedby VAD (Union for alcohol and other drugs related problems) • Focus on 14 to 16 years old • Peer pressure by friends and family • Let them think about their own behavior • ‘Whichinfluencedo I have on friends and family?’ • Mostly aneducationalpackage for schools and helpcenters • Free aid

  5. 2‘Don’t be fooled!’ • Campaign organized by the Flemishgovernment • Focus on 14 to 25 years old • ‘Not all information is correct!’ • “Cannabis isn’t harmfull and it cures diseases” = not correct • Using the media to createawareness

  7. ‘Crush’ • Organisazed by VAD (Union for alcohol and other drugs related problems) • Focus on 16-18 year • Group max. 25 persons • Aims • Inform about alcohol and cannabis • Perception alcohol and cannabis in a relation • 2 phases

  9. 4 ‘Socialstreetwork’ • General Agency for Welfare Support(SAW) • Focus on‘social exluded’ people • Guarantee a quality life with, reduce and avoid any addiction/contact with drugs • ‘Be present’ – builds up a positive relationship

  10. 5 ‘Early intervention through groupwork with young users’ • Center for Mental Health (CGG) • Focus on 12 to 18 years old • Currently taking drugs, but notyetaddicted -> has no problem with it • Developing self-awarness about their drug use • Talk groupsorindiviualsessions – 5 sessions • Led by a social worker

  11. ‘Self-tests’ • The drug line • Focus on teenagers younger then18 • May have addiction • Lets teenagers see which are the effects of their behaviour • Paper or internet • Several subjects

  13. ‘Substitution treatment’ • ‘De Sleutel’ ore ‘The key’ • Focus on 18 years and older, mainly people with heroïne addiction • Reduce the use and preventing negativeconsequencesby introducing a substitute • Three modules of treatement • Futher guidance is important = lifelong proces

  14. 9 ‘Injections exchange’ • MSOC • Focus on people/teenagers who are using drugs • Based on protection • Anonymous and free • Materials • Information and advice
