Tier 1 - Details • Tier 1: Self-Made, Results in XML • No cost. • Your webmaster... • codes the query using &sitesearch= • parses the response • displays the values • Please call in a Service Ticket (464-4311) so we know who to contact in case we need to make changes that could break your search.

  5. Tier 1 Search Request URL • Write form code that creates this URL: • http://search.ca.gov/search?output=xml_no_dtd&client=ca_x &sitesearch=www.yourwebsite.ca.gov&q=the+query+string • change only the text in red

  6. Tier 2 - Details • Tier 2: Self-Made, XML, Collection(s) • No cost. • Your webmaster • codes the query using &site • parses the response • displays the values • Please call in a Service Ticket (464-4311) so we know who to contact in case we need to make changes that could break your search.

  11. How to Get Service • Call 916-464-4311 to open a Service Ticket • Request “DTS Site Search Using Google” • Assign the ticket to Internet Services. • Hang up phone. • Wait for call or email.

  12. Search Template Module • Search Code Embedded in Next Template Release. • A few simple changes to CSS and form code puts your DTS Site Search on-line. • Easy implementation for non-DTS Site Search customers too.
