  4. 2000 Fire Service Plus, Inc has incorporated 30 years of research and development into FireAde 2000. We have combined technologies that historically are not compatible in firefighting foam chemistry. This innovative break through is changing the firefighting foam industry. Types of firefighting agents: Class A Agent, Class B Agent, and Wetting Agents. Class A Agents are exactly what it says “Class A fires” ONLY. The firefighting industry currently recognizes wetting agents as non-foaming products. These products work on a different chemistry versus Aqueous Film Forming Foams (AFFF). Typically, these products are used on all Class A fires and minimally used on Class B fires. Aqueous Film Forming Foams (AFFF) are recognized throughout the firefighting industry as “firefighting foams”. AFFF products produce an aqueous film that blankets the fire for extinguishment. This film creates a membrane that suppresses dangerous vapors and eliminates the risk of fire. AFFF products are commonly used on Class B fires ONLY. FireAde 2000’s uniqueness provides dimensions to firefighting mediums never seen before. Fire Service Plus, Inc has successfully merged “wetting agent technology” with “AFFF technology.” This has created the FIRST multi-featured Class A and Class B firefighting medium ever produced.

  18. 2000 Firefighting Medium US and European Class-A Fires Class-A fires are the most common type of fire. They occur when an organic solid material such as wood becomes sufficiently hot, and has oxygen available to it, causing combustion. Materials: Wood, Paper, Cotton, Hay, Coal, Tires Application for Class A:0.25% - 1%

  19. 2000 Firefighting Medium US Class-B, European class-B and C Fires US Class-B fires involve flammable or combustible liquid or gaseous fuels. In the European/Australasian system class B fires involve flammable liquids, and class C involve burning gases. Non-Polar Solvents Materials: Gasoline, Diesel, Jet Fuel, Kerosene, Crude Oils Application:1%, 3% and 6% Polar Solvents Materials: Methanol, Ethanols (E-95, E-85, E-10) Application:6% (Indirect Aspiration)

  20. 2000 Firefighting Medium US Class-C, European Class-E Fires Class-C/E fires are fires involving, and probably started by, potentially energized electrical equipment. Application for Class C:DO NOT APPLY TO ELECTRICAL FIRES UNTIL ELECTRICAL SOURCE IS REMOVED.

  21. 2000 Firefighting Medium US and European Class-D fires Class-D fires are metal fires. Certain metals, such as sodium, titanium, magnesium, potassium, lithium, calcium and others are flammable. Magnesium and titanium fires are most common. Application for Class D:6% - Low Pressure

  22. 2000 Firefighting Medium US Class-K, European Class-F Fires Class-K fires are fires that involve cooking oils. Materials: Fat or grease Application for Class D:6% - Mist

  23. 2000 Cooling Medium FireAde 2000 achieves a rapid reduction of heat by creating a temperature gradient caused by latent heat of evaporation and simple volume cooling. FireAde 2000 creates a chemical reaction with water that reduces surface tension from 72-dynes/cm2 to 18-20 dynes/cm2. (Note: range depends on water quality and type) This reduction in surface tension equates to water being 20 times wetter. FireAde 2000 by its nature of increasing relative wetted area and by the higher latent heat of evaporation value compared with that of traditional products, has a dramatic cooling effect on fuels and combustibles.

  25. 2000 Vapor Control FireAde 2000 produces foam with a tight bubble structure that allows for a thick aqueous membrane that accelerates extinguishment on flammable liquids. This tight structure also provides a superior vapor barrier between the fuel and foam. The superior vapor barrier also ensures the integrity of the foam blanket for a long lasting blanket. As a result, FireAde 2000’s drainage time into the fuel is drastically reduced by 75%. (Note this applies to most hydrocarbon fuels).

  27. 2000 Toxic Smoke Scrubber FireAde 2000 interrupts the free radical chain reaction by absorbing the energy and heat created by uncharged molecular fragments colliding with other molecules. This interruption prevents the molecules from coalescing, which creates fewer toxins. The dense and toxic black smoke rapidly changes to cleaner white smoke with proportionally higher water vapor content. This water vapor content indicates the removal of dangerous toxins and improved air quality.

  29. 2000 Toxic Smoke Scrubber Smoke Reduction – Hydrocarbon Fire

  30. 2000 Hazardous Spill Control Medium FireAde 2000’s ability to separate the fuel molecules adds an additional protection to flammable liquid extinguishment. The fuel separation is created by a chemical reaction with hydrocarbon molecules. The chemical reaction changes the positive charge of the molecule to a negative charge creating separation of the hydrocarbon chain. This separation eliminates the chance of re-ignition. These hazardous spills may require further clean-up based on EPA regulations and/or SOP’s of the department. However, a safer environment has now been created from the application of FireAde 2000.

  31. 2000 FireAde 2000 Benefits FireAde 2000’s the only multi-featured firefighting medium that attacks all aspects of the fire tetrahedron. This enables FireAde 2000 to achieve superior performance when compared to traditional firefighting mediums.

  32. 2000 Oxygen FireAde 2000 produces foam with a tight bubble structure that allows for a thick aqueous membrane that accelerates extinguishment on flammable liquids.

  33. 2000 Fuel FireAde 2000’s ability to separate the fuel molecules adds an additional protection to flammable liquid extinguishment. The fuel separation is created by a chemical reaction with hydrocarbon molecules. The chemical reaction changes the positive charge of the molecule to a negative charge creating separation of the hydrocarbon chain. This separation eliminates the chance of re-ignition. This chemical reaction does not apply for traditional firefighting mediums. This process will release over time to allow for proper clean up.

  34. 2000 Heat FireAde 2000 achieves a rapid reduction of heat by creating a temperature gradient caused by latent heat of evaporation and simple volume cooling.

  35. 2000 Chain Reaction FireAde 2000 interrupts the free radical chain reaction by absorbing the energy and heat created by uncharged molecular fragments colliding with other molecules. This interruption prevents the molecules from coalescing, which creates fewer toxins. The dense and toxic black smoke rapidly changes to cleaner white smoke with proportionally higher water vapor content. This water vapor content indicates the removal of dangerous toxins and improved air quality.

  36. Biodegradability of FireAde 2000 Biochemical Oxygen Demand A standardized means of estimating the degree of contamination in water supplies, especially those that have contamination from sewage and industrial wastes. Chemical Oxygen Demand Is the amount of oxygen, expressed in parts per million, consumed under specific conditions in the oxidation of the organic and the oxidizable inorganic contents contained in sewer and industrial wastewater.
