FOUNDATION - 22 CREDITS • 4 ELA (ELA I, II, III, & advanced English) • 3 MATH (ALGEBRA I, GEOMETRY & 1 advanced math) • 3 SOCIAL STUDIES (world geography or world history or combined course, US History, & government/economics) • 3 SCIENCE (biology, IPC or advanced science, and additional advanced science) • 2 FOREIGN LANGUAGES 1 FINE ARTS 1 PHYSICAL EDUCATION 5 ELECTIVES BUSINESS & INDUSTRY 1 MATH or CTE MATH 1 SCIENCE or CTE SCIENCE 2 ELECTIVES PUBLIC SERVICES 1 MATH or CTE MATH 1 SCIENCE or CTE SCIENCE 2 ELECTIVES MULTI-DISCIPLINARY STUDIES 1 MATH or CTE MATH 1 SCIENCE or CTE SCIENCE 2 ELECTIVES Algebra II Algebra II Algebra II Algebra II Algebra II ARTS & HUMANITIES 1 MATH or CTE MATH 1 SCIENCE or CTE SCIENCE 2 ELECTIVES STEM 1 MATH or CTE MATH 1 SCIENCE or CTE SCIENCE 2 ELECTIVES Endorsements 26 Credits DISTINGUISHED Eligible for Top 10% Automatic Admission

Student Earning an Endorsement • Complete 26 credits • 4 math • 4 science • 2 additional electives • SBOE develop curriculum requirements for each endorsement • Participation of educators, business, labor industry • “Opt-in” for arts and humanities • Substitute advanced science with another course related to endorsement • SBOE adopt criteria • “Opt-out” • Student’s parent/guardian permission

  11. District Requirement • Report categories of endorsements offered • District must offer 1 endorsement • Multidisciplinary • Endorsement noted on diploma and transcript

  21. Phase I – Create Implementation Plan • Revise course offerings that target certificates or licenses • Create flexible schedules to allow partnering with other providers • Expand course offerings in high school to support current programs • Promote endorsements

  22. Phase II • Assess programs • Revise and/or expand programs • Develop PR campaigns to promote career pathway opportunities • Develop showcase presentations for various community groups and/or organizations
