Panasonic MODEL : KX-TDA0180NE KX-TDA0181NE SERVICE HINT FOR TDA LCOT END-CALL DELAY BACKGROUND LCOT 8 (KX-TDA0180NE)and LCOT 16 (KX-TDA0181NE)analogue trunk cards do not feature active CPC (Calling Party Control) detection circuitry as standard. SYMPTOM The CO line will not promptly clear when caller hangs-up. Both KX-TDA0180NE (LCOT 8) and KX-TDA0181NE (LCOT 16) analogue trunk cards are affected . Example: In a TDA PBX equipped with a Voice Mail system; when the incoming call is terminated, the CO line will not clear immediately, but remain busy until the network clears down. In this case the delay will unnecessarily consume Voice Mail memory. SERVICE HINT CAUSE CPC detection circuitry is not incorporated into the LCOT card, and therefore the card does not recognise when an external call is terminated. This results in the CO line remaining busy until the network timeout period is reached. HOW TO IDENTIFY CPC detection circuitry is not incorporated on any mass production KX-TDA0180NE or KX-TDA0181NE card.
