Session Objectives • To orient AAA Planners in the use of the “Reference Guide for Development of the 2005-2009 Area Plan” to plan for the future. • Planners will learn how to use the Reference Guide to prepare a four-year Area Plan and future updates that will meet minimum requirements. • Learning from our mistakes to help us improve what we do.

Where will your PSA be in 2009? • Develop coordinated and accessible home and community-based systems of care. • Plans need to reflect how the AAA intends to build and improve these systems. • Plans help the public measure progress. • The AAA planning function is fundamental to the community’s success in realizing a coordinated systems of care. • Follow the steps of the planning process and maintain a legacy.
