Creation of a European Cultural Mediators Community that will be meeting at a focal point on the Internet in order to exchange experience and adopt good practices thus enhancing knowledge, skills and competencies.   3. A moderation system includes the appointment of a national moderator to oversee the moderation process. The national moderator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring a national network of moderators, in our case the core users of Sonetor who in turn coordinate an end-users network.

  5. PROCEDURES The National Moderator: • Coordinates • Organizes • Bridges • Stimulates • Motivates • Encourages • Inspires • Tutors USERS • Supports • Evaluates the users • needs • Adjusts educational • material to users • needs • Applies educational • methodology

Tasks of the National Moderator in SONETOR include: • Close collaboration with: • the national SONETOR partner & the users of the national community • Moderation of the learning contents uploaded by the national platform users • Contribution to the peer learning episodes uploaded in the platform, either by uploading new episodes or by commenting on the existing ones • Use of the social computing tools (blogs, forums, wikis) offered by the platform • Participation in the evaluation and testing of the platform and the tools it offers • Close collaboration with the other National Moderators • Strengthen the links between the Cultural Mediators in all the European Countries and help create an official European Cultural Mediator Community by December 2013 • Contribution to the National Moderators forum in the platform • Help in expanding the national community of Cultural Mediators who use the platform • Train the new members using the schedule and material developed by the project partners • Monitor platform usage and users progress and participation • Raise awareness and public recognition about cultural mediation in Europe & Disseminate and promote the SONETOR Project and its outcomes • Contribute to discussions about project improvement and sustainability

  9. 174 applications – all approved (106 applicants from Patras - 48 applicants from Athens - 18 applicants from other Greek cities - 2 applicants from Europe) SONETOR GREECE IN NUMBERS 1 National Moderator for Greece 10 Core Users → 17 Core Users → 12 Core Users each one coordinating 14-16 end-users 487 registered users in the platform 184 applied and trained by the Greek partner

END USER’s OBLIGATIONS FOR OBTAINING CERTIFICATION • The user has to create at least 5 episodes: • Those episodes have to be ranked by other users with minimum 3 • stars • The users has to receive at least 5 comments by other users • The user has to make 5 comments to other users’ episodes and • those comments have to be ranked with minimum 3 stars • The user has to write 1 blog entry which will be ranked with • minimum 3 stars • The user has to make 2 posts in the forum which will be ranked • with minimum 3 stars • The user has to use the additional platform’ applications in • particular: • The user has to create 1 GROUP • The user has to create 1 EVENT

CONCLUSIONS SONETOR training platform • can be used as an excellent tool in everyday practice of the cultural mediator • has great potentials to further improve and evolve • has offered a great focal point for the international community of cultural mediators to exchange and share experiences, knowledge and good practice.
