1. SLOVENIA TRAVEL COSTS How much does it cost to explore Slovenia for 8 days? ACCOMMODATION Our accommodation, through Airbnb and Booking.com was more costly than in other European countries we had visited recently. This was partly attributed to the tourist tax. EUR22.17 per person per night DINING AND GROCERIES Groceries were cheaper than in other European countries while dining was on par. Slovenian cuisine was excellent. A meal consisting of two mains, shared dessert and two drinks at Hiša Polonka in Kobarid cost EUR33. EUR14.85 per person per day. INTERNAL TRAVEL Public Transport in Ljubljana was efficient, but being the shoulder season, we hired a rental car from AvantCars to travel to and around the National Parks for five days. EUR7.69 per person per day LEISURE Most of our activities in Slovenia were free and the paid activities were all entrance fees to National Parks. EUR2.63 per person per day MISCELLANEOUS Additional costs included mobile phone plan, health and travel insurance costs.
