  2. About the Teacher • I have taught middle school and high school. • I am a lifelong history enthusiast. • Graduate of the UNCW School of Education • BA History • Secondary & Middle Grades Education

  3. More on the Teacher • I have lived in Wilmington NC for 37 years. • My hobbies include, playing music, disc golf, reading. • I have been married for 11 years.

  4. Class Requirements • You will be expected to *take daily notes from the Power Point lectures. • All key terms will be underlined. • Notes should be studied daily. • In addition: *there will be two assignments to accompany each lesson. • There will also be a *number of quizzes and tests.

  5. Class Requirements • All supplemental assignments will be posted on the learning platform, Moodle. • You must study notes daily. • You will also analyze primary source documents that have contributed to the legacy of American Government.

  6. You Will Learn • Analyze the foundations of American government. • Analyze the structure of American state and national governments. • Analyze the legal system in the USA. • Fundamentals of democracy • Financial literacy • Principles and laws of Economics and markets.

  7. So, Let’s Get Started • All content taught is in accordance with the North Carolina Common Core Standards. • I look forward to a fun, and engaging class
