Mission Statement Our mission at Sir Robert Borden School, a safe and welcoming centre for learning, is to ensure all students possess the skills to adapt andcontribute to a diverse and ever-changing world and become self-fulfilled, lifelong learners, through challenging, relevant programs, active partnerships, and the best use of our community resources.

  3. Facts • Sir Robert Borden has about 210 students • Students have 5 one hour periods each day • We start our day at 8:00 and finish our day at 2:05 • Our lunch break is from 11:10-11:55

  10. Band… part 2 Grade 7 Band Students who play in grade 6 band are welcome to join band at Sir Robert Borden in September. This year we have 27 gr. 7 students. Some events they perform at: • Christmas concert • Music Festivals • Assemblies • Spring concert • Year – end event

  13. Student Activities • Spirit Week is held a few times a year and each day has a theme like PJ day, Sport day, Crazy Hat Day and School Colours day.. • There are lots of sports and clubs and all students are welcome to participate or come cheer on SRB! Be sure to listen to announcements!

  16. French Immersion • Sir Robert Borden has a late French Immersion Program • Open to All students • Most subjects are taught in French—exceptions are English, Art, Tech Ed, Phys Ed and Band

  17. $$ Fees $$ • Student fees for all Sir Robert Borden students is $30. These fees are due in September. • Fees cover locker, combination lock, your SRB T-Shirt, and a USB drive.

  18. T-Shirt Sizes • During orientation, please stop by the T-Shirt Station to make sure we have your T-shirt size. You can have a number put on back of you can leave it blank. • This is so your SRB shirt is ready for September! 

  21. Frequently Asked Questions How long is lunch? Lunch starts are 11:10. You have to be back at the school at 11:55, and class begins at 12:05. The lunch period is 45 minutes long. Is there a recess? There is not a recess. However, from 10:00-10:10, students are permitted to eat a quick snack while listening to announcements How many classes do I have each day? There are 5 one hour periods each day, but you may have more than 5 classes if your class is only a half hour long. What time does school start in the morning? You have to be at school by 7:55 and the first class starts at 8:00
