3.1.社會責任案例----討論 • 美國911恐怖攻擊的當天，在災難現場進行搶救的救難人員，到鄰近的星巴克咖啡店要幾箱水，結果店員卻要救難單位付錢130元，結果一封四處亂串的網路郵件到處轉寄.由於在網路上引起杯葛，兩週後星巴克開始說明: • 第一篇新聞稿:說郵件會影響星巴克員工士氣. • 隔天第二篇新聞稿:說星巴克捐了14000加侖水 • 再隔天店裡貼出執行長親筆公告:說對發生的事失望…應該捐出那三箱水. • 雖說如此,但強烈辯護和緩慢的反應仍然引起許多反感,已經嚴重影響企業形象.星巴克在這次處理上栽了大跟斗。 • 故事資料來源：天下雜誌2005十月號”別讓小八卦變企業大災難” • 如果你是星巴克公司，事件發生時你會怎麼做？

3.2.道德管理案例----討論 • 我在2003年到中國大陸投資考察時，參觀該省當地最大的傢俱工廠，員工兩千多人，我看到家具工廠工人在完全沒戴口罩的環境下工作，現場木屑瀰漫，許多參觀者甚至不願意走進去，家具噴漆工人無戴口罩工作整天，會議時我問了廠長： • 請問你的員工健康情形何？ • 請問外國採購者對工人在此環境下工作有什麼建議？ • 但心裡我不斷在想： • 購買家具的消費者知道工人在這種環境做出椅子的嗎？ • 他們願意買用人的犧牲工人健康做出來的椅子嗎？ • 現在健康看起來沒問題，20年後公共衛生統計會如何呢? • 國家現在賣家具賺小錢,未來拯救污染和勞工疾病要花多錢? • 如果你是產品訂購公司，工廠對待員工的方式和你 • 有關係嗎？
