City wide KS3 Assessment for planned for 2007-08 • Interpretation assessment: Was General Douglas Haig butcher of the Somme? • Aim to encourage all secondary schools to complete this assessment. • Moderation of students work on this assessment. • Developing common assessment criteria for KS3. • Incorporating AfL strategies into assessments and marking schemes.

Disseminating materials relating to best practice & educational research • Developing Social, Emotional & Behavioural Skills (DSEBs) now SEAL – Disseminating policy information and exemplar material new strategies with practical applications • Links with PGFL – disseminating the work of the SWGfL, PGfL to colleagues in schools • Creating the HistoryNetwork webpage to communicate best practice and raise the profile of History teaching in Plymouth • Working with Plymouth City Museum on their forthcoming bi-centennial exhibition of the abolition of slavery • Working with English Heritage • Sharing our practice with Exeter St Lukes PCGE Students • Working with The Prince of Wales Summer School Projects Undertaken • Plymouth Departmental Directory • Video to DVD Project • E-book Project • Revision Mp3 Project • KS3 Assessment • KS4 Assessment • Veterans Day • Oral History Project • You Tube Channel • Coordinating the Devon History Network • KS5 Mapping • KS3 Re-Modelling • Plymouth History Community

Helping teachers experiencing difficulties • Plymstock School and PHSG liaising to develop and implement a new A2 Unit ‘Liaising with a colleague with experience in teaching this unit was a relief and a huge help. I was given a proven route through a difficult course and was able to share my own new ideas with others.
