  1. Welcome to the 3rd Food Science Club Meeting!! September 21st, 2010

  2. Club Meeting Agenda • Update on FSC Committees • Vote for Ag/Life Representative • Frito Lays Presentation!!

  3. International Festival • When: Friday, October 1st • Time: Carpooling from Schaub at 5:00pm • Cost: Tickets $3/person • Where: Raleigh Convention Center

  4. Banner Designs? • We need a banner design! • Tells people who we are • Helps to avoid tailgate directions like: • “… just look for the people in red” • “… we are next to the American flag and red flag”

  5. Virginia Tech Tailgate • When: Saturday, October 2nd • Time: Tailgate starts at 7am • Kickoff is at noon!! • Where: Fairground Parking Lot • Exact location TBD • Please BYOB (that’s beverages, of course!) • We will have some food provided but we would love for you to bring some too! (Lisa, this refers to you and your delicious spinach dip…)

  6. Athletics • Football Tickets • Watch for my email to the fsclist serve • Follow the directions in the email. • If you sign up you MUST go or cancel your ticket • Next home game is versus Virginia Tech (10/2) • Request period – Sept 24th • Claim Period – Sept 26th

Best way to gain points • Must work 3 SHIFTS • 1 HOUR = 1 POINT • End of the year • 1 point = approx. $ 6 – 8 • Use toward professional development • Textbooks, parking permit, conferences • Dairy Bar Appreciation Dinner • Must work 4 SHIFTS • Scholarships available for Dairy Bar participants at the FSC Awards Banquet Dairy Bar ONLY Fundraiser for Club Provides funds for all club activities 11 days: October 14- 24 3 hour shifts 6 – 9 AM Stocking (OPEN) 11 – 2 PM 2 – 5 PM 5 – 8 PM 8 – 11 PM (CLOSE)

Dairy Bar NC STATE FAIR October 14 – 24 What do I wear? Hat Pull back/tie up long hair Closed toe shoes T-shirt with Sleeves Leave for shift 45min early Water: Bring Nalgene bottle Water cooler available
