Part Two :Dialogues Dialogue A Ticketing Dialogue B Ticketing Reissue (Mr. Jeffrey Hood, Chief Executive Officer of a medium-sized IT business corporation of America, was unable to return to San Francisco after finishing a Small and Medium Enterprise Ministerial Meeting in Shanghai as scheduled because Mr. Hood has arranged another business meeting in London. As he is holding a return ticket from Shanghai to San Francisco he has to be reticketed for his new itinerary. His secretary comes to Northwest Airlines Shanghai Office to have their new tickets issued in exchange for the old ones.) Dialogue C Ticket Endorsement ( Mr. Yang has bought an Air China ticket from Los Angeles to Beijing. He has just received a fax from his brother about an urgent business meeting in Osaka and was asked to fly to Beijing via Osaka. As Air China has no flights from Los Angeles to Osaka he has to go there via Japan Airlines. Therefore he needs to have his ticket endorsed.)

  7. Read the following as smoothly as possible and do the substitution. • 1. Ticket Reissue Your original destination of Shanghai has now changed to Hong Kong. In this case the fare structure is also changed accordingly, for your new routing covers more air distance. Therefore we need an additional collection from you. But your ticket must be reissued due to the changing of your routing. We’ll issue the new tickets in exchange for the old ones. However, your ticket fares must be recalculated.

  8. Read the following as smoothly as possible and do the substitution. • 2. Endorsement You can use your ticket for any Japan Airlines flight. They honor our tickets. However they need an endorsement from our airlines before using the ticket. As you know, the ticket indicates Air China as your designated carrier from Los Angeles to Beijing. So no other airlines can become your carrier unless Air China permits. Look at here. Endorsed to JAL is entered in the “endorsement box” of the ticket. Please take your ticket to the Japan Airlines Office. They will take care of your reservations from Los Angeles to Osaka to Beijing. Of course they will exchange your ticket and recalculate the fare. There might be an additional charge.

  9. Refer to the following routing and complete the following dialogue: Beijing London CA937 Paris Mr. Lee is holding an Air China ticket from Beijing to London. But he wants to spend a few days in Paris before going on to London. His agent, after checking the ticket, agrees to reissue the ticket. Of course the fare needs recalculating. Fortunately, Mr. Lee won’t be charged any more because the mileage of his new itinerary is within the maximum permitted mileage for the fare he pays.
