WELCOME Welcome to Camp Zone at Merryhill School McKinney • Camp Zone® offers fun-filled summer programs for children ages 5-12 must have finished Kindergarten.Each week, campers jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. • Our campers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! • It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors.A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. We take our camp programs seriously and begin our summer with intensive staff training and orientation. Camp Zone® counselors and specialists are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons. • Camp Zone® gives you choices.Camp Zone® includes five days of activities, from 8:30am –3:45pm. You can choose to add extended hours and specialty camps to your menu of summer fun. We offer a range of outdoor activities, plus indoor activities conducted in our fully air conditioned facility. Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Scavenger Hunts Building your creativity through life-size sculptures Whip Cream War Zone: Just like paintball but with Whip Cream and Spoons Over the top Science experiments Character building games that will get your mind thinking and your body moving. Field trips that will create unforgettable memories Sports and Fitness to keep us in shape Entrepreneurship experiences 6:30 — 8:30 am Before Care 8:30 — 9:00 am Tribal Meetings 9:00 — 9:15 am Snack 9:15 --- 10:15am Science Fun 10:15 — 11:15 am Water activities 11:15 — 12 :15pm Indoor Games(character building) 12:15 — 12:45 pm Lunch 12:45 — 1:15 pm Extreme Arcade 1:15 — 2:15 pm Creative Arts 2:15 — 3:15 pm Themed Special Activities 3:15 — 3:45 pm Tribal Meetings 3:45 — 6:30 pm Snack/After care

  5. Ancillary Programs Ancillary Program Descriptions FunBusAges 5-8 Fitness on Wheels will provide a fun filled learning experience and will give our highest regard to safety. Date: Wednesdays Time: 10:30am-11:30am Cost: $80.00 per 8 week session Play For Sport Ages 5 to 11 Play For Sport will be a fun filled program which will teach campers about sportsmanship and fair play while teaching them basic rules and skills needed for a variety of sports. Dates:Tuesdays Time:10:30 am —11:30 am Cost: $38.00 Royal Kids Computer Classes Age 5 Children become Computer Detectives on a learning adventure to places such as the Email Trail or Laptop Lagoon. Advancing at their own pace, children work on their own computers while they apply technology skills to solve problems and accomplish their goal. Dates:Fridays Time:10:30am — 11:30am Cost: $80.00 per 8 week session

Community Project Helping To Do Our Part • John and Judy Gay Public Library This summer for our Community Project we will be doing some really exciting fundraising for the Bucks For Books Program, at the new McKinney Library. This library will be an asset to our school because it is right down the street. We look forward to visiting it in the future and want it to be full of books. Some of our plans may include: A bike wash A walk-a-thon Bake sale Shops at Merryhill
