  2. The Amazon Rainforest is in South America. The Amazon Rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world, covering five and a half a million square kilometres (1.4 billion acres).

  3. This is a picture of the Amazon River. You can see a yellow line that is how big the Amazon River is.

  4. The Amazon Rainforest is also known in English Amazonia or the Amazon jungle, is a moist broadleaf forest that covers most of the Amazon of South America.

  5. Where is the Amazon Rainforest? Over half of the Amazon Rainforest is located in Brazil but it is also located in other South America countries including Peru,Venezuela,Ecuador, Colombia,Bolivia, Suriname and French Guiand.

  7. Facts about the Rainforest Around 80%of the food we eat, originally comes from rainforests. Such as coffee, chocolate, rice, tomatoes, bananas, black pepper, corn and cocoa. The tropical rainforest covers about 60% of the earth surface, but is home to more than half the worlds total plant and animal species. The forest floor is almost completely dark, with less than 1% of the sunlight making it through the tree canopy above. There are around 3000 fruits in rainforests. Tribes use over 2000 of them.
