  2. Fun Facts about horses! • Working with horses can be a hard but rewarding job. It can earn you several kicks, but you feel a big feeling of accomplishment when you do a job properly. • Most stable owners give training lessons or a free trial ride on the horse that you may or may not want to buy. • There are plenty of ways to train horses. • The formal title for horse managers is equine sports massage therapist. • The earlier the horse can be trained, the easier it will be to train the horse. • Some jobs of curing a horse may take 24 hours!

Facts about becoming a farm vet • If one volunteers at a place that works with animals, one will have a better understanding of weather or not they want to work with animals. • One must take math, biology, chemistry, and physics in college. • Being a farm vet is both mentally and physically demanding.

Diseases that animals can get • Sheep can get swayback, a disease that distorts the brain slightly, causing the sheep to walk unstably on its feet. • Lincoln sheep can get bronchitis, it makes them cough and is a parasite. • Cows can get dislocated hips, which are very difficult to fix. • Dogs may get bones stuck in their mouths, you can tell if they have a bone in their mouth if the dog keeps its mouth open.

  5. Salaries • If one decides to become a beginning equine vet then their salary will be approximately $38,468. Eventually, their salary will rise to around $85,000. The average salary for a private horse vet is about $126,641. • The annual salary for a vet that works with animals that are raised for food or companionship/work is $91,000. • The food industry vets get a starting salary of $68,993, and an annual salary of $109,000. • The average large animal, or, farm vet gets a starting salary of $62,327. • A mixed practice vet gets a starting salary of $62,327, the annual salary is around $85,000.
