What does the word «democracy» mean? • People do what they want. • People rule the country. • People elect the head of state. • People say what they want. • All people follow the constitution. • People do what they want within the framework of law. • The head of state guarantees the rights of citizens.

  3. Objectives to observe political system of different countries to clear up the functions of different institutions of power to find out the common features and the differences between the UK, the US and the Russian political systems to attract attention of teens to research and project work

The Court can declare presidential acts unconstitutional. Congress can pass laws over the President’s veto by a two-thirds majority. The Senate must approve the President’s judicial appointments.
