  2. What is this organization about? • Keep Greene Clean (KGC) became a certified Keep America Beautiful affiliate in 1986. Since its certification, KGC has grown to become an asset in the preservation of our county's natural beauty through many successful outreach programs. KGC continues to heighten awareness throughout our community by teaching the importance of a clean and litter-free environment.

  3. Awareness for students • The Talking TreeThe Talking Tree visits classrooms to teach students the importance of trees and their role in the environment. Students find out what kind of "tree gifts" the Talking Tree has to offer and explore its knotholes and branches for hidden creatures. It is a fun and lively way for students to learn the importance and value of trees.

  4. What you can do! • By simple recycling ,or using less foam and plastic items. • Not throwing trash out of your car or throwing trash in open fields . • Don’t burn trash ! This just causes air pollution and is just plain smelly. • Don’t dump trash or chemicals anywhere. There are places where you can properly dispose of these things. • Last, help out! Just use common sense. You wouldn’t want to endanger yourself or others with little polluting habits.
