High Level Goals • What we want to accomplish for Sri Lanka • Long term goals (3-5 years) • Every secondary school in the country to participate at national science and engineering competitions • Make research based projects an important part of school curriculum • Develop an online registration process for competitions • Short term goals (1-2 years) • Promote JIY, SRPC, SLSEF and Intel ISEF among schools • Strengthen local competitions with workshops • Improve scientific review and judging process • Prepare students to be competitive at Intel ISEF 2013 • Establishment of Intel ISEF alumni

Objectives • Results we expect as proof of success: • Number of students participating at national science and engineering competitions increased to 5,000 in 5 years • 50% of the projects to show evidence of scientific research methodology • Train judges to improve quality of assessment and thus improve selection at national competitions • Students to be competitive at Intel ISEF 2013
