  2. Left Click on start Go to Networked Applications Administrative Software Scientia Timetabling Scientia 3.6 and enter

  3. It will then ask you to “select an image file to open” Click into browse Logging in for the first time

  4. Find the image that I have sent you and open

  5. You will then be asked to select a language, leave it as English UK and OK

  6. Under course planner setup, select scheduling database and OK

  7. Scheduling database server, leave scientia in the “SDB Server box” and in the SDB Services file delete SDB and enter live0809, no spaces. Then ok.

  8. You will be asked if you want to save an image file not say “NO”.

  9. Then Connect

  10. You will be asked for your username and password enter these and connect.

  11. You will then be connected to the database.

  12. Once the system has finished fetching the data, you can then start using the system.

  13. Once you have finished using the system and you are ready to save the data go to file and save as. Saving

  14. You will be asked which format you wish to save the file in, firstly select Syllabus Plus in the format drop down list and browse.

  15. Find the location in which you wish to save the file under and save.

  16. It will take you back to this screen just click on save.

  17. Once the progress bar is complete it will ask you to close click on this.

  18. Then you will need to save an image. Go to file and save as again.

  19. Change the format field to image and browse.

  20. Find the location in which you want to save this file enter live0809.img and save. You will need to overwrite this file each night. Do not save a new one each day due to the size of the file.

  21. It will then take you back to this screen again select save.

  22. It will take you to this screen, if you wish to enter back into the system click on connect. If you wish to log out click on the X in the right hand corner.

  23. The next time that you want to log in find the programme and it will ask you to select an image file to open. Click browse When you want to log in again, the short cut.

  24. Find the image file that you had saved previous and Open.

  25. It will take you to this screen, click on connect.

  26. Your username will already be entered, just enter you password and connect.

  27. It will then take you into the system.
