Interesting Facts • Children in the middle ages celebrated mothers day. • Children would make mothers day their one holiday off from work • May 9, 1914, mothers day became a holiday • On mothers day if you're mother was not alive you would wear white carnations, and if you're mother was alive you would wear pink carnations

  3. Main idea The main idea for mother’s day is to just thank your mother on remember the good times you had with your mother. Little children sometimes write there mothers letters or give them breakfast in bed to tell them that they love them. We all love our mothers very much, but sometimes you forget to tell them that. When you go hone tell your mother I Love You!!!!!! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Three Details • One detail about mothers day is that many people celebrate it all around the world and they celebrate it in different ways. • In parts of Yugoslavia where serbian people live they celebrate mothers day by tying their mothers down to the bed, and not letting them up until they give the kids treats. • Mothers flowers are given out a few days before mothers day arrives in Sweden.

  7. Summary Mothers day is celebrated all around the world. Many different people celebrate mothers day in many different ways. In the U.S.A we celebrate mothers day by giving our mothers gifts. In other parts of the world the mothers give their children candy. No matter how you celebrate mothers day just remember to tell your mother you love her at least five times.

  8. What I learned I learned mothers are more important than anything else in the world to me. I also learned the true meaning of mothers day. Just reading this power point gave me a whole new out look on mothers day and why it is important to tell your mom you love her.

  9. My opinions My opinion is that I want to wait a while before I become a parent, and when I say a while I mean a LONG WHILE.
