Aims and Objectives Delegates will: • Understand changes affecting qualifications in the early years sector in England • Gain an understanding of the new Pearson Early Years Educator qualifications at Level 3, and an overview of Pearson’s early years portfolio • Get face-to-face advice and questions answered by Pearson staff and to network with other centre representatives ALWAYS LEARNING

  5. Introducing Pearson’s Early Years Educator qualifications • Developed in consultation with the sector • Offers flexibility with a range of sizes and optional units • Engaging content with clear, simple structures ALWAYS LEARNING.

Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Learning & Development (Early Years Educator)(QCF) • WBL qualification (QAN 600/2963/3) • Total of 64 credits • 9 Mandatory units – 46 credits • 14 Optional units – 18 credits • GLH 321–358 • Key features: • is assessed in the workplace • offers holistic assessment • has a range of optional units to meet learner needs • contains content that is important to the sector • is supported by a wide range of materials. BTEC Level 3 Nationals in Children’s Play, Learning & Development (NQF) Work experience requirements: • National Award – 50 hours • National Subsidiary Certificate – 400 hours • National Certificate/Diploma - 750 hours over a minimum of three different placement settings, across three different age ranges ALWAYS LEARNING
