  2. Enterprise Collaboration Tool The Opportunity Our client are the leading Association of Medical Professionals based out of North America. Our Approach Our client had a large set of documents with multiple versions available, with each employee, without any proper change or configured management practice in place. There were multiple documents in soft copy formats in several file locations which was becoming difficult to manage and retrieve on demand. Also, client had several transaction details maintained manually and thus searching across the transaction files for a particular instance was proving to be a tedious job by the client. Our Solution We proposedMS SharePoint Services (WSS 3.0).Most of the features like document management, version control, file retrieval, file storage and search were available in-built in WSS 3.0 and thus was setup in quick time with little customization. The core features provided include: • Single Sign-on with Active directory Integration • Search across documents, templates, content and file libraries captures within the system • Permission based access to each individual • Administrator managed controls and permissions • Document management and change control Apart from these basic requirements, we also proposed to customize the WSS implementation to suit the following features: • A portlet to be accessed by clients, members and other users for Online Event Registrations with online payment. • Redesigned navigation on Home Page to allow for new sections. Business Benefits We helped them to lower cost by 30% of their present budgeted cost in maintaining and managing the manual processes and also helped them setup several customized portlets to suit their enterprise wide requirements. Also, extended the solution to provide controlled access to external members like clients, vendors etc.

Our Approach The client follows a strict IT compliance model but faces various issues while adhering to compliance, mostly human errors with respect to compliance document management and uniform compliance requirements across various offices around the globe and document version controls. Our Solution We offered a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 based enterprise portal to handle the implementation of the uniform IT Compliance Model across the company branch offices. The portal acts as a central repository for all Compliance related templates and documents while maintaining version control and access control at all levels. The portal also provides an IT Operating Model Compliance Check List to ensure the employees can revisit the checklist and review the compliance requirements for each instance. Our Solution We proposed to implement a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 pilot with all the key functionalities of MOSS.
