Robotics (rōbätiks) branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation and application of robotics • Robots (rōbäts) a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one that is programmable by a computer Origin of the word is Czech, coming from robota, meaning “forced labor”
