  2. INTERVIEW VOCABULARY Interview - A meeting with a prospective employer Qualifications– A certificate which proves you have a particular skill. Skill– Something that you do very well. Certificate- A printed document with details of exams you have passed and/or your qualifications CV-A CV is a document which sets out details of your work history, qualifications, skills, abilities.

  3. Here is a conversation between a school principal and a candidate who has applied for Librarian post in the school after seeing their proposal in a weekly journal. Consider yourself as the Candidate and your trainer as the principle and understand the dialogues. Here the principle is the recruiter.

  4. Candidate: Good morning mam ! I am Mr.Vincent. Recruiter: Good morning Mr.Vincent. Please take your seat. May I Know your qualifications? Candidate: Sure mam! I have completed my degree in English literature last year and looking for a suitable job. NOTE:MAKE THE STUDENT TO CONSIDER HIMSELF THE CANDIDATE AND YOU THE RECRUITER AND MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND THE DIALOGUES THROUGH CONVERSATIONS.

  5. Recruiter :Ok, so why did you apply for the Librarian position? Candidate : I feel I am suitable for it. Recruiter: What makes you say that? What skills Do you have? Candidate :I personally love to read a lot of books. I will also proudly say that I own a library at home, where you can find a great collection of books. Books are my best friend. I maintain my books well. I consider them as a good skill. NOTE:MAKE THE STUDENT TO CONSIDER HIMSELF THE CANDIDATE AND YOU THE RECRUITER AND MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND THE DIALOGUES THROUGH CONVERSATIONS.

  6. Recruiter: You sound quite passionate about books. What kind of books do you have at home and how many do you have.? Candidate: I have got old English literature collections that include Shakespeare's classics and so on . I have literally 600-700 books in my library. Recruiter:That’s nice, Do you think you can maintain 3500 books here. It is not as easy as you think. You might be expected to deal with information in many formats, including books, magazines, newspapers, audio recordings , maps etc. NOTE:MAKE THE STUDENT TO CONSIDER HIMSELF THE CANDIDATE AND YOU THE RECRUITER AND MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND THE DIALOGUES THROUGH CONVERSATIONS.

  7. Candidate : I am confident I can handle it mam. Recruiter: That’s good , What salary are you expecting? Candidate : You know the market better . But anyways as I am very passionate about taking this job I don’t have any particular figure in my mind. Recruiter: I find you very passionate and positive Mr. Vincent. Please leave your CV to us. We shall call you soon. Candidate : Thank you mam ! have a great day. Bye Recruiter: Bye Mr.Vincent.
