  2. HANDSHAKE LINE R1 xxxxxxxxxx Officials should stand diagonally across from each other; one on each neutral zone dot. Monitor the handshake line for any potential altercations or penalties R2 oooooooooo Legend :: R1=Referee 1 R2=Referee 2 x=Team 1 o=Team 2

  3. xxxxxxxxxx EXITING THE ICE oooooooooo Separate Gates R1 Teams should exit the ice through separate gates, when possible Officials should stand between both teams and give them space to leave the ice separately R2 Legend :: R1=Referee 1 R2=Referee 2 x=Team 1 o=Team 2

  4. xxxxxxxxxx EXITING THE ICE oooooooooo R1 Same Gate R2 Allow one team to leave the ice first, do not allow teams to leave together Stand on either side of the exiting gate and hold one team back while the other exits Legend :: R1=Referee 1 R2=Referee 2 x=Team 1 o=Team 2

If it is deemed that a handshake should be cancelled following the game, allow one team to exit the ice first and hold the opposing team at their bench One official should raise his hand and communicate to the bench that his team should wait until they have permission to leave If an altercation is to occur off the ice, DO NOT intervene. Your job is to record numbers and assess penalties.   6. Signing the Scoresheet • Review scoresheet with partner(s) and official scorer • Cross out any blank spaces the penalty and scoring columns • Ensure no team received 15 and no player 5 penalties • If there are any penalties that need to be reported to USA Hockey, retain a copy of the scoresheet or take a picture • When you feel the scoresheet has been completed, you and your partner will sign your names
