Update General Info • Booster SS: Up and operating (Date set to close task March 22 – Then operational task • SS Spares still in production – (Driver hardware & Pas ?) • Booster Absorber – 3rd Kicker up and running – all complete for this 1st stage • Booster Aperture Scans and magnet moves – • Scans continue – may do another work in a week or two – depending upon studies • Booster RF cavity rework – RF1 work in progress • 4 Tuners ready – working on cavity/tuners continues • RF15 cooling off in Booster access area • Spare cavity work? • Booster RF Cavity 7 seems to have an RF leak and will likely be removed for repair • Booster RF 8 may also have a RF leak and will need to be tested in the tunnel • Booster West Gallery stations have experienced shunt failures – need to understand problem • Booster Ferrites – Dennis completed measurements on recent ferrites • Ferrites that did not pass test have been shipped back • Sending back low Frequency tester – modifying fixture to allow easier/safer use • Still need to select high mu ferrite to send to vendors for testing (JSR – needs to select) • RFQ – Running well – waiting on trim magnet/building source B • Booster Beam Optics Studies to start this week – Talk today • HLRF – looking into how to write a new PO that gets the work started • Linac Modulator – waiting for 9 cell components to arrive – likely a couple of months • Booster Shielding – Working on preliminary write-up, maybe end of next week • MI Startup: no change from last time – June 1st Startup comments (Fernanda, Todd, Mary) Studies forthcoming?

Upcoming Talks Future Meetings: Feb/Mar • To be Scheduled: • Dave Augustine - Vacuum Installations Finished and in Planning • Jean-Paul Carneiro - TraceWin 3D Simulations of the Fermilab Linac • Bill Pellico - Loss Test Scans for Shielding Assessment • John Reid - Solid State Installation - Final Report • Leonid Vorobiev - ORBIT Simulations on Booster Injection and Acceleration

Upcoming • Reports (upcoming) • Update of PIP Design Report – Yearly update work • PIP talks/Special Meetings • Shielding • Meeting last week to look at data • Working on report • Will meet with safety next week to go over report and data • Budget Issues – • Working to address cost of spares • Additional Overhead Cost – impact still being looked at • Current schedule update data in – Ken working on it - Please use the E-Log to put general work in progress updates/photos – weekly would be nice – if progress is being made in task
