  2. Population • The 2012 estimation of the Los Angeles population is 9,962,789.

What’s it famous for? • The Two most popular beaches in California are Santa Monica and Venice beach, located in southern Los Angeles. • Universal Studios is the second most popular theme park behind Disney Land in northern California • Beverly Hills is famous for Rodeo Drive( famous shopping center of California) • Malibu attracts thousands of people per year to L.A, because of its famous boardwalk and all of its attractions.

  4. Tragedies • 4 people and the gunman were shot and killed near a Santa Monica college library. It was said to be started when a fire erupted in a house on the 2000 block of York Shire avenue.

  5. Well Known Colleges/Universities • University of California State. • L.A Southwest college. • The Art Institute of California. • L.A Film and Documentary School.

  6. Popular Foods • California Style Pizza Traditional Wood Fired Pizza , Cant Miss Chili Dog served at Pinks Restaurant , French Dip Sandwich, Apple Pie usually served with the Famous Sweet Tea and or Coffee

  7. Economy • Economy in L.A. is especially diversified with industries including entertainment , fashion , Aero space, and tourism. L.A combines all of these industries in a way found no where else.

  8. Recreation • MacArthur Park and Lake, Henry Alvarez Memorial Park, Cold Water Canyon, and Greystone Mansion are all wonderful recreational places that you can visit when you visit L.A.

  9. Weather in L.A • The climate for Los Angeles usually includes dry summers and rainy winters and has a wonderful Mediterranean climate year round.

  10. Crime Rate in L.A • In L.A crime is at a record low for the first time since 2005,do to the increase number of police officers on the force.
