  5. How do we work ? • Dangerous goods inspections on Sea-going vessel • Risk based inspections on units carrying DG • Random inspection on units carrying DG • Inspections in companies handling DG

  6. How do we work ? • Dangerous goods inspections on Sea-going vessel • Selection of the vessel to be inspected • Documentation • Stowage and Segregation • Placarding, marking of transport units • Cargo securing

How do we work ? • Risk based inspections on units carrying DG • Identify risk indicators in the carriage of DG (historical data, risk of different substances, country where cargo comes from, type of DG involved, etc.) • Selection from the risk model • Documentation check • Measurement of the atmosphere within the unit • Inspection of the unit • Conclude the inspection

  8. How do we work ? • Random inspection on units carrying DG • Selection of units at the terminal • Documentation check • Measurement of the atmosphere • Physical inspection • Conclude the inspection

  9. How do we work ? • Inspections in companies handling DG • Selection of companies involved in DG shipments on sea-going vessels • Prepare inspection by analysing historical data, inspection results, etc • Perform audit / inspection • Conclude audit / inspection (incl. report)
