Nestle Book Vouchers/ Sainsbury’s and Tesco Vouchers Thank you for donating your vouchers to school – we have purchased various items which will benefit all our pupils – for example: infant toys and books. We will also receive a discount for our PGL residential trip. Pet Show Thank you if you helped at, or came to the Pet Show. It seemed that everyone had an enjoyable time and £125 was raised, which will be extremely helpful for the transport fund, from which all pupils benefit. Instrumental Tuition Staunton Times If your is interested in your child playing a musical instrument eg: flute/clarinet/oboe/piano/keyboard/drums,/other instruments may be available depending on interest in September - please contact the school office for contract information from music teachers who now work on a private basis. Due to the new system music invoices will need to be paid in full prior to the first lesson directly to the teacher. No need to book in - just drop in and have some fun. From making puppets and hats to animal antics, beastly bugs and butterflies - every one will be different so keep coming to keep your little ones entertained. Swimming at GL1 Gloucester Coombe Hill Nature Reserve - Lovely trial + hides for bird watching. WWT Slimbridge Centre - See, feed and learn about the world's largest collection of exotic, rare and endangered ducks, geese and swans For more information check the following website: www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk Summer Reading Challenge From Saturday, 14th July, all children can register at their local library for the Story Lab Summer Reading Challenge. They will get a membership card, fold out poster and a set of stickers (including some smelly scratch and sniff ones!) and a wrist band /gold medals and lots more!. There will be lots to do in the library, quizzes, events competitions etc.  So pop in and see what’s going on… (It’s all FREE!) Band Wagon Visit Music Workshop Many parents attended the final assembly where groups of pupils demonstrated what they had learned from the music workshops. Pupils had great fun all day composing tunes and making up words for a song. We also had demonstrations from the teenage musicians. A great day which provided enthusiasm for music and for learning to play an instrument! School Holiday We look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday, 5th September.
