  2. Christopher Columbus life span • Born: October 31, 1451 • Born in Genoa, Italy • Died: May 20, 1506 • Died outside of Valladolid, Spain • Mother: Susanna Fontanarossa • Father: Domenico Colombo

  3. What he discovered on his voyages • He was the first to discover the New World. • Also discovered the Americas’. • He also found that the world was round not flat.

  4. Why and how did he go on his voyages • He went on the voyages to find a water route to Asia. • Spain paid for him to go even though he’s Italian. • Also King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain paid for him. • He sailed on the Pinta, Nina, and Santa Maria.
