  8. Program - Opportunities • More diverse, more intense and higher energy • Expanded program hours - 8 am to 8 pm • Some sessions prescheduled & offsite • Jamboree Trek – Garden Ground Mountain • Day of Service – in West Virginia community • Merit Badges connected to program area

Program Activities • Summit Center - • Arena shows, exhibits, military, conservation • Visitors will mix with Jamboree participants at Summit Visitor Center ONLY • Shooting Sports – rifle, shotgun, pistol, 3-D & action archery • Aquatics – kayaking, scuba, dragon boat racing, paddle boarding • Patch Trading

  10. Program Activities • High Adventure • Adventure Valley – Mountain Biking, Mountain Climbing, Zip Lines, Canopy Tours, White Water Rafting, Challenge Courses • Mayhem Mountain - Mountain Boarding, BMX biking, skateboarding

Participant Requirements • MEMBERSHIP - Boy Scout, Venture Scout (Crew, Team, Ship) • AGE • BOY SCOUTS • 12 yrs by July 15, 2013, or • 11 years, graduated 6th grade, but • not reached their 18th birthday by July 24, 2013 • VENTURE SCOUTS • at least 14 yrs old by July 15, 2013, or • graduated 8th grade, but • not reached their 21st birthday by July 24, 2013

Participant Requirements (cont) • APPROVAL - by Unit Leader and local Council • ACTIVE – in a Troop or Crew for at least 6 months before July 1, 2013 • MEDICAL – completed Jamboree Medical record prior to prejamboree training • TRAINING – participated in prejamboree training & Shakedown • Monthly troop meetings • Campout • FEES – paid following the fixed fee schedule

  16. COST • Cost - $1,400 per scout • Payment Schedule • $100 at registration • $350 11/30/2011 • $350 1/31/2012 • $300 4/30/2012 • $300 6/30/2012 • Costs in line with other Councils in the area • Camperships available for those with demonstrated financial need
