  3. DID YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS?

  4. 1 PETER 2:4-5 4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,  5you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

  5. DID YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS? THE NOAH’S ARK

  6. DID YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS? THE TABERNACLE

  7. DID YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS? THE TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM

  8. DID YOU KNOW THAT GOD IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS? NOW HE IS BUILDING THE CHURCH

  9. THE CHURCH BUILDING THAT CHRIST IS BUILDING “And I tell you that you are Peter,and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hadeswill not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will bebound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Mat. 16:18-19)

  10. GOD IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION’S BUSINESS • GOD IS ENGAGED IN THE MOST IMPORTANT MISSION ON THE EARTH: THE CHURCH • IT IS THE MOST CRUCIAL PROJECT HE IS IMPLEMENTING ON THE EARTH ON THIS SEASON • HE IS WORKING ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING: A SPIRITUAL BUILDING

  11. GOD IS WORKING ON A SPIRITUAL BUILDING

  12. BUILDING MATERIALS Jesus told Peter that there are two main building materials to build His church: 1st: THE ROCK- he church is been built on Christ, who is the ROCK and the foundation of the church. 2nd: THE LITTLE STONES- the disciples of Christ, like Peter.

CHRIST IS THE LIVING STONE 4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,  5you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:4-5)

COME TO HIM • GOD IS CALLING ALL OF HIS CHILDREN TO COME TO HIM AND TO JOIN HIM ON THIS PROJECT • HE IS DRAWING ALL THE PEOPLES OF THE EARTH TO COME TO HIM TO WORK ON THE BUILDING HE IS CONSTRUCTING • HE IS INVITING ALL OF HIS CHILDREN TO BE PART OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PROJECT HE IS IMPLEMENTING ON THE EARTH

  15. 2.COME TO THE LIVING STONE • Who is the living stone? • God is the LIVING STONE • The Living stone has been rejected by men • He is the choice of God • He is precious in the sight of God

Who has been rejected by men? • 9There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. • 10He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. • 11He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. • 12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, • 13who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

  17. 14And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.  15John testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" • 16For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. • 18No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

WE ARE LIVING STONES 4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,  5you also, as living stones,are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

STONES WHO LIVE • We are also LIVING STONES because in Christ we were born again spiritually and we have eternal life. • In this figure of speech, JESUS is the ROCK that is a living stone, and we are also living stones. • This is a picture to show that He is building it up and each new person who comes to Christ becomes a part of this spiritual building.

THIS SPIRITUAL BUILDING HAS A PURPOSE 4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,  5you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

  21. OUR SPIRITUAL SERVICES ARE ACCEPTED BY GOD • This is a very important purpose of the church: to offer spiritual sacrifices of praise, worship services to God through Jesus Christ. • When we get together in the Name of Jesus Christ God will accept our worship and our praises.

  23. How important it is the physical building?

The Physical Structure • The physical structure allows the living stones to get together to worship God, to serve one another, and to serve the community and communities the Lord has sent us and will send us to. • A physical structure can be an instrument of God to implement the plans to advance the Kingdom of God inside the community.

  28. BUT THE STONESR US

  29. TODAY IS A DAY OF DEDICATION OF BOTH BUILDINGS • THE PHYSICAL BUILDING: the sanctuary, the children’s rooms, the prayer room, the fellowship hall, the kitchen, the food pantry, and all areas should be dedicated to Christ, as the Head of our church, so He can use these facilities as He wants. • Everything that is in here today will be dedicated to Christ, so He can use these facilities

  30. TODAY IS A DAY OF DEDICATION OF BOTH BUILDINGS • THE SPIRITUAL BUILDING: the living stones, who are us, should dedicate their lives to the Living Rock, Jesus Christ, and commit to follow Him in this new season and in this new building.

  31. “47: Whosoever come to me, and hear my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like: 48: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock” (Luke 6). LIVES BUILT ON THE ROCK

  32. TODAY IS A DAY OF DEDICATION OF THE SPIRITUAL BUILDING • THE SPIRITUAL BUILDING: the living stones, who are us, should dedicate their lives to the Living Rock, Jesus Christ, and commit to follow Him in this new season and in this new building.
