  8. Graduation Requirements Student Service Learning • 75 Service hours are required to graduate • 260 Service hours will yield a Certificate of Meritorious Service at the time of graduation

  9. MCPS Promotion Policy • The chart below indicates the minimum number of credits each student must earn to be promoted to the next grade level.

Registration Cards Distributed Clemente February 8th NeelsvilleJanuary 31st Rocky Hill February 6th and 7th Registration Cards Due Date NeelsvilleFebruary 9th Rocky Hill February 10th Clemente February 13th Course Verifications will be mailed home in May. Students will have until August 1, 2012to see counselor to correct errors or change a course selection.

Recommendations For Honors Classes • Mastery of Course Prerequisite (Grades of A, B or C) • Parent/Guardian Recommendation • Standardized Test Scores as Appropriate • Willingness to Complete Challenging Assignments • Student Interest or Motivation • Teacher/Counselor Recommendation • Work Samples and Portfolios No single criterion is to be used to exclude a student from pursuing Honors, AP, and Advanced Level Course Work. • Student must be willing to remain in course for entire semester
