  1. TOPIC 2.11 Maintenance Processing

  2. MAINTENANCE PROCESSING Enabling Objectives 2.32 PERFORM IOU STATUS INQUIRY 2.33 DETERMINE IOU REPORTS 2.34 DESCRIBE ICRL ADD 2.35 DESCRIBE AMSU PROCEDURES

  3. MAINTENANCE PROCESSING IOU STATUS INQUIRY

  4. IOU STATUS INQUIRY Purpose: (1) Displays all outstanding IOU components by a particular NSN, FGC, CAGE / PN or ORG. (2) Displays all outstanding IOU components owed to the SSC by one or all organizations.

  5. IOU STATUS INQUIRY System Action (1) Displays stock status of components in IOU status. (2) Displays a list of outstanding IOU components OWED to the SSC. Path: From the Repairables menu of the Supply Subsystem, point to Inquiries and click IOU. The IOU Inquiry window appears.

  6. MAINTENANCE PROCESSING IOU REPORTS

  7. IOU REPORTS Purpose: Provides listing for all IOU’s established before report date / time.

  8. MAINTENANCE PROCESSING ICRL ADD

  9. ICRL ADD Purpose: (1) Add a new Individual Component Repair List (ICRL) to the data base. (2) Aids in the screening of Non-RFI components turned-in for repair. (3) Used for screening RFI / BCM components returned from work centers.

  10. System Action: (1) Adds an ICRL record to the database. (2) Establishes ICRL data for inclusion in the Repairable Item Listing (RIL). Path: From the ICRL menu of the Maintenance subsystem, click Maintain. NOTE:You can add an ICRL record through the ICRL Error mailbox if the error notice posted for the same CAGE/part number. ICRL ADD

  11. MAINTENANCE PROCESSING AMSU

  12. AMSU Purpose: (1) Screen and receive items being turned-in for repair. (2) Validates against the ICRL and WUC file to determine the repair capability.

  13. AMSU System Action: (1) Inducts the item on the turn-in MAF for repair. (2) Approves the MAF for repair (if authorized). (3) Generates HCN MAF. (4) Requires valid CAGE/PN to be entered. (5) Validates JCN / DDSN and FGC / NIIN relationship. (6) Creates DIFM item record and deletes IOU item record if MAF is approved. (7) Post repair MCN to material requirements record.

  14. AMSU NOTE: A discrepancy can occur when a component is processed for induction into the IMA repair cycle, and the corresponding turn-in DDSN is assigned an LSC of OFFMP, OFFTR, or OFFAR. An AMSU induction discrepancy also occurs when · A requisition is cancelled and not reordered (management code CX). · A corresponding MAF is in NALCOMIS but the material turn-in to shore (MTIS) indicator is not set.

  15. NOTE: The IMA supervisor signs off the repair MAF or a user attempts to process a DIFM return with an LSC in an improper condition. You can clear the AMSU induction discrepancy by either setting the MTIS indicator when applicable, or by transmitting through the function if the LSC of the turn-in DDSN is other than OFFAR, OFFMP, OFFTR, or OFVAL. Before clearing an AMSU induction discrepancy for these LSCs, do the following: AMSU

  16. AMSU · For OFFAR components, clear the alternate NIIN to correct the status and perform proof of delivery (POD). · For OFFMP components, update the LSC to EXREP or REFER. · For OFVAL components, update the material requirements to correct the status.

  17. AMSU AMSU AUTOMATED T/I This is only functional when the Organizations you support are using Optimized “O” level NALCOMIS. This in essence allows the squadrons to initiate the Turn-in MAF at their squadron and transmit it electronically to AMSU. Activities without Opimize “O” level NALCOMIS must manually process items with turn-in MAF.
