How to Login • Access the internet using Internet Explorer. • Login on to the websitehttp://64.106.242.36/ctc/_login • NOTE: This address will change when it goes live • Put your first initial and last name Ex: jsmith • Press Enter or Submit • First time only, your name is also your password. • Follow prompts to establish a new password. (must be at least 6 characters, 1 capital letter and at least 1 number) Created by JRM

  3. Locate Your Page • Search the school homepage for specific page link and click on it. • Under Academics, find area and click. • You are now in your folder. You will see the word Manage at the top • This is the folder where you are authorized to add content, delete content and manage your page. Created by JRM

  4. Types of Folders • There are several folder types. The most commonly used are: • List • Calendar • Homework • Website Links Created by JRM

  5. Create a New Folder • Click on your web page • Click Manage • Click Folder (not folder type) • Name your folder Ex: General Information • Click Submit Created by JRM

"What You See Is What You Get" Adding Information to the Folder • Click on the folder • Click Edit • Clickon WYSWIG • Next, type your information or insert clipart, animated gifs • Click Submit to save. • Click exit only to leave unchanged. NOTE CTRL +Z with undo when working on page. Created by JRM

  7. Adding Dates to the Class Calendar • Click into your classroom calendar • Click Edit • Click on the tiny symbol next to the name of the month • There will be a list of days; write your information, click Submit. Created by JRM

  8. Homework Assignments • To create a homework folder. Type assignments or homework • Select Lesson Plan under Type and Homework under Subtype. • Then just fill in the subject titles. • Click Submitthen Exit. Created by JRM

  9. Writing Homework Assignments • Click on the Homework folder • Click Edit • Click into a gray box on a subject; write your information • Click Submit. Created by JRM

  10. Adding Favorite Website Links • Click into your Favorite Links folder • Click Manage • Click Web Link • Name the link ex: 50 States • Put the URL address on the correct line • Click Submit Created by JRM www.50states.com

Adding Clip Art • Go to File~ New Tab~ Type clipart in the Google search engine www.google.com or any good site for clipart http://www.phillipmartin.info/clipart/homepage.htm • Type in your subject • Find image or clipart . Right mouse click COPY • Go to your page, click Edit • Right mouse click Paste • If it doesn’t work, try another one • Click Submit NOTE: Use JPEG or Gif Created by JRM

Uploading PDF Files and Photos • MS Office documents converted to PDF file can be easily uploaded to the webpage. • Go to Manage • Select Upload • Browse your computer • 8 items can be upload at one time. Adobe To create a pdf use Adobe or a free pdf converter PrimoPDF www.primopdf.com Created by JRM

  13. Sequencing Folders Click Sequence. Click the file you want to move up or down. Use the Top, Up, Down, and Bottom buttons to move the file.   When you the files are in the correct order, press the Submit button. Created by JRM

  14. Click Admin • Under the Z-mail section click Send a message Sending Z-mail • Select the boxes usually …to all registered… • Fill in the Subject of the email. • Select General Interest • Write your Message • Send and Exit Created by JRM

  15. Giving Permissions to Individuals for SpecificPages Click Permissions When you click on choose it will give you a list of names. Just click on the name and submit. The person’s name will appear as an owner. Created by JRM

  16. Adding Users Click here and then type person’s name in lower case letters First initial last name Example: mcicco Just fill in USER name Leave other lines empty Created by JRM
