  2. How this Course Works: Learning Resources to meet the Course Requirements….a series of diagrams

  3. In the beginning…the Readings and the Class Meetings:

  4. Now add in Weekly Web Quizzes on the Readings Assigned, typically due by Friday noon for that week’s readings.

  5. Now add in Exercises and Worksheets from Discovering Sociology, one due roughly each Tuesday class.

  6. Add in Exams…we have three hourly exams…based on • Lessons from Class sessions • Web Quiz material (selected questions repeated) • Interpretation of graphs, tables from Discovering Sociology worksheets

  7. Add in the Web Resources: course web page, parallel Oncourse site, which provide copies of: • Syllabus – the ‘contract’ between instructor and you • Calendar – lists assigned readings, windows of time for Web Quizzes and D.S. Worksheets • Access to additional handouts, Quiz-site, and later Post-em, where your grades are posted.
