  1. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books When you think of the Library, you probably think of books… And you should!! The Mesabi Range College Library has over 20,000 books. Here’s how you can find books in the Library.

  3. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books From the Library home page, click on the icon for MnPALS Plus, which is our automated online catalog.

  4. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books Type your topic in the search box and hit “Find”…

  5. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books As you can see from the results list, the Library has several books on this topic!

  6. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books Click on the title of the one you want.

  7. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books The book record will tell which collection to look in, and the Dewey call number will tell you exactly where the book is on the shelf.

  8. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books All of the Library’s books are located in the lower level of the Library.

  9. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books If you have trouble finding what you want, just ask anyone on the Library staff and we will be happy to help you!

  10. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books Once you find the book you want, take it to the Library Circulation desk for checkout.

  11. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books Don’t forget to bring your Mesabi Range College student ID card with you – it is also your Library card!

  13. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books …just go online to MnPALS Plus and then to My Account and renew the book yourself for another 3 weeks!

  14. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books Only one renewal is permitted, then you must return the book to the Library.

  15. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books If you can’t find what you want in our Library, then use MnPALS Plus to search any or all of the 60 other libraries in our system!

  18. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books To request the book using our InterLibrary Loan (ILL) service, simply “log in” with your 14-digit barcode and your password – which is your last name.

  20. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books …and then, “Create ILL Request”.

  21. Seven Secrets to Success – Finding Books You will see a response that says “Your ILL request was sent”.
