  7. END SCENE SIX • Taking the Lily express to Snail heaven

  8. INSPIRATION • Saw a snail on the pavement when I came home and thought how long will it take for him to get back to the grass? • Will he ever get back to the grass? - Will our dog ironically named Lily eat him before he gets to the grass? …This got me thinking…

  9. TITLE THE LILY EXPRESS • Lilies commonly symbolizes death especially in cartoons. • Stanley literally road on the Lily and then passed away.

  10. SETUP INCITINGS: - Minuscule level in the real world - Snailtopia • The whole story plots out over 2 days and 5m - Will Stanley get back to Snailtopia to eat the lily leaf?

  12. INTRODUCTION OF MAIN CHARACTER • Stanley • - He lives in Snailtopia • 5 years (2009/03/12) • - 6.58 cm • - Patched up because he is clumsy • - Loves lily leaves • - He can’t move very fast

CRISIS / CLIMAX • SCENE ONE, when he couldn’t reach the lily leaf. • SCENE TWO, he lands on a piece of bubblegum. • SCENE THREE, when the spider wanted to eat him in • spidervalley. • SCENE FOUR, dreamt about zombie salt shakers trying to • kill him. • SCENE FIVE, THE ULTIMATE CRISIS/CLIMAX:, • needed to cross the stream when his ship sinks and • Stanley drowns.

  15. CONFRONTATION • His confrontation with the Lily leaf is short lived. • He drowned - paper boat, no arms.

  16. DENOUEMENT • Denouement occurs when Stanley is sinking and • rising, sinking and rising underneath the lily. • He couldn’t reach out to the lily to save him. • The lily is his reason for living but that the lily also • ultimately caused his suffering and death.

  17. RESOLUTION • The resolution plays of after the credits rolled. • We let the viewer know whether Stanley drowned or survived . • Stanley rises from the water with wings flies to the gates of snail heaven. • Ironic twist. • Gives the viewer a chance to say goodbye to Stanley. • Stanley gets a happy ending.

  18. EXPLANATION • The moral of The Lily Express is that everything doesn’t always go according to plan. • That even when your at the end of the finish line things can still go wrong. • Everything happens for a reason. • Life may be hard but the reward in heaven is way sweeter than on earth.
