There are a few reasons why beginners should go kayaking in Newport Beach. First, the water is calm and flat so you don’t have to worry about getting seasick. Second, you’re right next to the cliffs where you can take in the view of the city while paddling your kayak around. And third, it’s only a short drive from most places in Orange County.

  2. There are many different types of kayak tours. Some are guided, others are unguided and you sign up for a time slot to enter the water. Some include snorkeling, others include dolphin watching and some just let you do the paddling and then relax in the water. For your first time, it’s better to do an hour or two in a group tour rather than renting your own kayak. If you aren’t familiar with what happens when you capsize in open ocean, then going out on your own isn’t ideal. A Guide To Kayaking Safety In Newport Beach: Always check the weather conditions before heading out. Remember that you’re on the water, and it can get rough.
