Utilizes group/social psychological processes for treatment The group version of client centered therapy A small group of people, seated in a circle May use techniques from Gestalt therapy Focus is on one person at a time Emphasizes directness, openness, honesty and genuine feelings (even for the facilitator) Awareness, getting in touch with your real self Members are allowed to be spontaneous
