Ps. 145:11-13God rules over all! 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

  3. WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? Introduction: 2. Man’s quandary: Who is in charge? Who gives order? Who gives orders? 3. When man takes charge: chaos!

Parental Authority Weakened • “Let child make own choices” • Parental authority is safety net • Require child attend worship (Eph. 6:4) • Expect courtesy, cooperation, & chores • Not tolerate drugs, alcohol, dance, fornication, profanity, porn, tobacco, ungodly music, etc.

  40. WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? II. God Ordained the Home F. Parental Authority Weakened • “Discipline warps personality” • Prov. 29:15 Discipline makes wise 15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

  41. WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? II. God Ordained the Home F. Parental Authority Weakened • “Spanking teaches violence” • Prov. 22:15 Discipline prevents violence 15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

  42. WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? II. God Ordained the Home F. Parental Authority Weakened • Impatient, arbitrary, abusive parents • Eph. 6:4 Sinful parents breed rebellion 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

If Not God’s Order, What Order? • Alternative lifestyles? • Fornication, adultery, polygamy, homosexual, lesbian, communal sex, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, bestiality • Miserable mates, dysfunctional families, broken homes, dreadful diseases, wounded & warped children!

  45. WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? II. God Ordained the Home G. If Not God’s Order, What Order? • Unisex, equal partners • Equal in value, but distinct roles • Alternate in childbearing???
