Noise Monitoring Remote Station 5 Noise Monitoring Remote Station 4 Noise Quality Monitoring Network As per section 5.2.8 (IV) of National Environmental Policy (NEP)-2006, CPCB is in the process of developing Noise Monitoring Network in India. It has been decided to include ambient noise as a regular parameter for monitoring in specified urban areas. The maximum permissible levels of Noise in Indian Cities by Indian regulation: Ambient Noise Level at different places in Delhi during normal & Deepawalidays in theyear 2008 - 2009 Monitoring time: 1800 hoursto 2400 hours R – Residential, C – Commercial Noise level data generated will automatically be transmitted from remote noise level monitoring stations in to the central receiving stations at CPCB, installation of remote noise level monitoring stations in Delhi. Data validation, Conversion of data into information and quality assurance shall be taken up at Central Receiving Station. As per Architecture Annexed at ‘A’, the data will be automatically received at CPCB’s Central Receiving Station and other Places as per requirement.
